Kit Harington didn't know his real name Christopher Catesby Harington until he turned 11. He told Glamour that his parents "could see that I wanted to be Kit, but Christopher was a bit of a tradition." Luckily, he added, "Kit is traditionally an offshoot of Christopher, it's just not used that often." So, everything worked out for the Game of Thrones star in the end.
